Nighttime deployment of the floating crane "Athlet" at the Kennedy bridge
On Friday, 12.04.19, a nighttime deployment took place at the Kennedy Bridge. USM-Nord and BVT Chartering und Logistics were jointly involved.
Quickly and with great effort, they successfully salvaged three interconnected wooden dolphins, which were broken and about to chaotically fall into the water, using the floating crane ATHLET.
This process involved opening the bridge between 03.00 and 04.30 for the first time following maintenance work on the driving surfaces. Since a routine check was planned for the drawbridge during this time anyway, it was possible to combine this with the salvage work.
